The Manuka Pool Kiosk is a low profile building under a broad sheltering roof, backing onto the Manuka Oval. There is a work space at the rear of the building allowing good surveillance of the grounds and a generous covered area opening to the lawns and the wading pool beyond. The work space has wide servery counter and bi-fold doors, while the covered seating area has a “diner” style bar and stools extending across the front edge. There is also an under cover space for a scatter of café tables and seating. The layout of the work space provides space for the preparation and sale of light snacks, coffee and cold drinks, and ice creams.
The kiosk is a modest addition to the Manuka Pool and is set against the backdrop of the high hedge planting and tall trees along the oval fence, so as to not diminish the heritage values of the site or other buildings.
